Where are you from, and where are you based?
I was originally born in Argentina and lived in China at a younger age. I finally moved to the U.S. when my family relocated to life in Connecticut. Relocating along the East Coast, I then moved to South Carolina in my early childhood years.
Where did your love for music originate?
I've always been surrounded by music because my parents put me in piano and orchestra as a young kid. I found pop music when I was in middle school and then it became a really strong emotional outlet for me. I would write emotional poems about my feelings I didn't understand and add melodies to them.
In three words, describe your artistry.
Chaotic Mind Workings.
Tell us about a memory during the creative process of one of your favorite recordings / singles? “I Found Love (In Myself)”
I remember just finishing up writing the Album in 2021 and I thought to myself, “WTF I’ve dealt with so many little and terrible romantic endeavors. I’ve got wrecked by so many shallow connections; how about I take a step back and focus on putting that energy into myself?” So I wrote a song about it!
If you could visit anywhere in the world right now to perform, where would you go?
I love Tokyo, I actually spent two months there during the beginning of this year there and shot two music videos (Coming soon!) I’ve met so many incredible friends out there as well! I’m plotting my return.
What is a goal you have set in mind for your upcoming projects? Are you working on anything right now?
I’m always working on new stuff. I've entered a new chapter of life and have acquired plenty of fresh inspo. I’m loving the stuff I am making now because I can see the growth in myself, as an artist and a human. My goal is to connect with a wider audience and hopefully go on a world tour soon.
How do you manage to balance your work and personal interests as an artist?
I’m not going to lie, I am a bit of a procrastinator and I don't have a manager or solid team behind me yet, minus a few people on the music industry side. At best, I function alone for now. It is a challenge balancing everything since there is so much to do and having to sustain yourself as a human being in society plus fund an expensive career path. I kind of just trust in the universe that the pieces are falling perfectly in place (which they are) and I am a believer that as an artist/songwriter, you must experience life in order to create art about it. I am super super grateful for the cards I have been dealt throughout this insane emotional roller coaster.
Where do you see yourself/ What’s next for MARG?
Like I said earlier, connecting with more people in the world and universe! I shall continue to be open and vulnerable; making music that resonates with my own experience. I hope it can continue to be comforting and attract those who really feel it.
What is one aspect of the music industry that you think needs improvement?
I’m not so plugged into the industry if I’m being honest but absolutely more representation of all kinds. Social media has opened a new environment for many more walks of life to have a spotlight but I think a lot of the industry is still shifting from their old ways. Times are changing and people need the types of artists that can connect us on a deeper level.
