5 Releases We Loved This Month
June 9th - Reneé Rapp “Snow Angel”
Rising star Reneé Rapp has made her mark on the charts with her single “Snow Angel”. With over 5.2 million streams on Spotify, Rapp’s soul searching sound has found a place in all of her fans' hearts. The Sex Lives of College Girls TV personality has hard-launched her artistic talents as an actress. Yet, her journey as a recording artist is just beginning! Her voice is what resonates so deeply with her fanbase and the curation of community her music creates. The album is naturally titled after the sonically driven single with a release date this upcoming August.
June 12th, Suzanna Son featured on “Family”
HBO’s Series The Idol is easily one of the most talked about shows this summer. And say what you will about it but, the talented Suzanna Son easily stole the show in my book. Starring as struggling singer Chloe, her abilities to captivate the audience are unmatched. The piano scene alone is enough to solidify this girl is going places. Listen to “Family” off The Idol soundtrack here.
June 30th - Jorja Smith “Little Things x Gypsy Woman (L BEATS MASHUP)”
Jorja Smith provided all the summer energy with the latest remix of her track “Little Things”. I discovered Jorja Smith back in 2018 & I always keep my eyes peeled for what she’s working on next. Her newly released track features sampling of the Crystal Waters’ classic “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)”. This melody infused with Smith’s laid-back lyrics make a perfect fit. Fairly certain you’ll be hearing this jam at a daytime rooftop all summer long!
